The Range
Secondary Glazing Systems
Every system is manufactured to the exact dimensions of your opening and fitted internally, leaving the original window untouched.

BVS
BVS
A counter balanced vertical sliding unit that mirrors traditional sash windows, gliding smoothly and holding position at any height. The natural partner for period sash openings.

TBVS
Tilting Balanced Vertical Slider
All the benefits of the balanced vertical slider with the addition of tilt-in sashes, allowing both faces of the glass to be cleaned safely from inside the room.

HS2
Horizontal Slider 2 Panel
A two panel horizontal sliding unit for standard width openings, giving easy access to the primary window and simple day to day operation.

HS3
Horizontal Slider 3 Panel
Three sliding panels for wider openings, balancing generous access with slim interlocks that keep sightlines clean.

HS4
Horizontal Slider 4 Panel
A four panel configuration for large openings and bay windows, splitting the span into manageable, smooth running sashes.

HS5
Horizontal Slider 5 Panel
Our widest sliding configuration, engineered for expansive commercial and heritage openings where a single span is impractical.

HU
Hinged Unit
A side hinged casement style unit that opens fully for ventilation and access. Ideal where windows are opened regularly or need cleaning access.

HU-D
Hinged Unit Double
A double hinged unit with two opening leaves, suited to wider openings that still require full access to the original window.

HU-S
Hinged Unit Slimline
A slimline hinged unit with reduced frame depth, minimising visual impact on delicate or decorative window surrounds.

Glass Options
Choose the Right Glass for the Job
The frame system decides how the unit works; the glass decides how it performs. We specify the glass around your priority noise, heat, security, privacy or heritage sightlines.
4mm Float Glass
The standard specification, providing effective thermal and acoustic improvement at the most economical price point.
6.4mm & 6.8mm Acoustic Laminate
Laminated interlayers absorb sound energy, making a significant difference on properties facing busy roads, railways or flight paths.
Low E Thermal Glass
A microscopically thin coating reflects radiant heat back into the room, improving U-values and cutting heating costs.
Toughened Safety Glass
Required in critical locations such as low level glazing and doors, and recommended where added impact resistance is needed.
Obscure & Solar Control Glass
Privacy patterns and solar control tints for bathrooms, street level rooms and south facing elevations prone to glare and overheating.
FINEO Vacuum Glass
Ultra slim vacuum insulated glass offering the highest performance in the thinnest possible profile.

Acoustic Performance
Noise Reduction of Up to 80 Percent
Sound travels through glass as vibration. By introducing a second pane set at an optimised distance from the original window, the air gap between the two panes breaks that path — the vibration has to cross a cushion of still air before it reaches the room, and most of its energy is lost on the way.
With a cavity of 100mm or more and acoustic laminated glass, external noise can be reduced by up to 80 percent. It is the single most effective retrofit measure for properties facing busy roads, railway lines, flight paths or city centre nightlife.
Thermal Efficiency
Warmer Rooms, Lower Energy Bills
The insulating air gap between your original window and the secondary unit acts as a thermal buffer. Still air is a poor conductor of heat, so warmth stays in the room instead of escaping through single glazed panes.

The sealed secondary unit also eliminates the drafts that make period rooms feel cold even when the heating is on. Combined with Low E coated glass, heat loss through the window can be cut dramatically — reducing energy bills and removing the cold spots and condensation that come with single glazing.

The Basics
What Is Secondary Glazing

Ashbourne Cottage
Heritage property secondary glazing installation, sympathetic to the character of the historic property while adding thermal and acoustic performance.

West Riding House
Commercial secondary glazing installation for improved noise reduction and comfort in the workplace.

East West Building
Large scale commercial project focused on insulation and reduced energy costs.

Ashbourne, Draycott in the Clay
Another heritage residential project preserving external character while improving performance.

Premium Specialist Option
FINEO Vacuum Glazing
FINEO is ultra slim vacuum insulated glass: two panes separated by a vacuum cavity rather than a gas filled gap, sealed at the edges with no visible spacer bar. At only a few millimetres thick it delivers thermal performance that outperforms conventional double glazing.
That combination of slim profile and high performance makes it the premium choice for listed buildings and conservation areas, where sightlines must remain delicate and historically appropriate but comfort still matters.
